Services

RanLanka provides the following services:

• Gold, silver, diamond, and luxury watch buying and selling.
• Free gold purity testing and valuation.
• Online inquiries and branch appointment support.
• Gold price information and calculator tools on our website.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time without prior notice. All services are subject to availability at individual branch locations.

Gold Rates and Valuations

• Gold buying and selling rates displayed on our website are reference rates only and are subject to change without notice based on market conditions.
• The final transaction price is determined at the time of in-branch valuation based on item purity, weight, condition, and current market rates.
• The gold calculator on our website provides estimates only. Actual transaction values may differ.
• RanLanka is not liable for any financial decisions made based on the rates displayed on this website.

Customer Obligations

When using our services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful personal information, including valid government-issued identification as required by law.
• Confirm and warrant that you are the lawful owner of any item submitted for valuation, buying, or selling.
• Not submit stolen, counterfeit, or otherwise illegally obtained items. Doing so may result in legal action being taken.
• Comply with all applicable Sri Lankan laws and regulations relating to precious metal transactions.
• Not use our website for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.

Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering

RanLanka operates in full compliance with Sri Lanka's financial regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. We are legally obligated to:

• Verify the identity of customers for transactions above regulatory thresholds.
• Report suspicious transactions to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of Sri Lanka.
• Refuse to conduct transactions where legal compliance cannot be satisfied.

Providing false identification or attempting to conduct fraudulent transactions is a criminal offence and will be reported to the relevant authorities.

Right to Refuse Service

RanLanka reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or reverse any transaction at its sole discretion, including but not limited to situations where:

• The item submitted is suspected to be stolen, counterfeit, or of questionable provenance.
• The customer cannot provide satisfactory identification or proof of ownership.
• The transaction raises concerns related to money laundering or other illegal activity.
• The customer has engaged in disruptive, abusive, or threatening behaviour at a branch.

Payments

• Payments for gold or other items are made at the time of transaction, subject to completed verification and valuation.
• Payment methods accepted may vary by branch. Please confirm with your local branch before visiting.
• All gold selling transactions (from RanLanka to customers) include applicable VAT as required under Sri Lankan law.
• Once a transaction is completed and payment is made, it is final. No refunds or reversals will be processed after payment is received by the customer.

Website Use

You may use our website for lawful personal and informational purposes only. You must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website or systems.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract content from our website without permission.
• Post, transmit, or distribute any harmful, defamatory, or unlawful content through our website.
• Reproduce, copy, or republish our website content without prior written consent from RanLanka.

Intellectual Property
